The exterior facade of viewing platform of Chengdu Qinglong Lake resembles a torch, symbolizing the spirit of perseverance and upward striving in sports.

The Torch-shaped Viewing Platform is located on the outer side of Chengdu's ring road, on the slope of the eastern side of the second phase of the Qinglong Lake Park. The platform consists of two levels and is built against the mountainside. The overall tower height is approximately 17.7 meters, and when viewed from the front, it resembles a torch. Not far away is the World University Games Village, and the initial purpose of constructing this viewing platform was to pay tribute to the World University Games, symbolizing the spirit of sportsmanship and upward striving.

The entire tower body is covered with GRC lightweight concrete material, which effectively showcases the beauty of the building and the site's curved surfaces. The spiral design of the "Torch Tower" gives it a very graceful appearance. Furthermore, precast white concrete materials have been skillfully incorporated into the design of stairs, landscaping fence and furniture, creating a harmonious synergy with the tower’s overall aesthetic.

The color scheme of the Torch Tower also follows the color principles of the World University Games logo. The lower levels are yellow, gradually transitioning to red as it goes up. Additionally, two colors are integrated into the surroundings: the green of the trees and the blue of the Qinglong Lake. These four colors align with the four colors of the World University Games logo, symbolizing vitality, sharing, greenery, and wisdom. At the top, there is a 4-meter-high flame sculpture, symbolizing homage to the World University Games flame.

This building has become a popular spot for leisure and entertainment in Chengdu, attracting many visitors who want to capture the perfect photo.
