Designed by Studio Link Arc, the project is set to become Asia’s largest earth-sheltered construction of its kind upon completion in May 2025. It features oversized UHPC façade cladding with natural stone surface textures. Excel UHPC premix is the one of the designated materials for the cladding which was produced by Guangzhou Xinshang Arts. With the support of the comprehensive service and technical expertise from both Aalborg White global and local teams, the project successfully navigated challenges. The completed completed in 2025, showcasing seamless alignment and consistent colour for a striking aesthetic impact.

Project Highlights:
    •    Façade Area: 58,000 m², including 40,000 m² UHPC
    •    Design Concept: Earth-sheltered architecture inspired by mountain forms, blending nature with culture buildings
    •    Challenges: Oversized panels up to 30m² with maximum length of 10 meters, intricate shapes, and precision requirements

How Excel UHPC Made It Possible:
    •    Architectural Freedom: Natural stone textures with 7 cm folded edge design 
    •    Ultra High-Performance Material: 120 MPa compressive strength with stainless-steel fibres incorporated to improve flexural strength and durability
    •    Cost Efficiency: Flexible production processes allowed for customized design within a control budget
    •    Technical Collaboration: Tailored mixing processes and trial castings, supported with local experts, ensured the success of production
